Ohio has long been known as a hub for manufacturing and industry, but in recent years, the state has seen a sharp decline in solid, well-paying jobs, and its cities, especially Dayton, with the departure of several major employers have seen a sharp decline in employment opportunities.
As the fourth largest metropolitan area in Ohio and the 63rd largest in the United States, Dayton has again begun to attract new industries; businesses that specialize in logistics and distribution, but many still struggle to find work as their skills and qualifications do not readily match up with the needs of new employers.
The opportunity is there, but those in need often lack the education, training, and community bonds necessary to achieve stability.
FlourishNow is working with a network of churches and community partners to bring our proven solutions to the Buckeye State. Together, through our employment workshops and job fairs, we will not only connect job seekers to employers but give them the skills and support they need to find meaningful work and realize their God-given potential.
